Our current resident, Susan Cooley, wanted to share her experience and spoke with me. She is very pleased with her stay and care. Therapy is doing a wonderful job getting me on my feet. Staff is polite and helpful. She is enjoying our library and all the activities and opportunities to be with others. She is pleased with the food. Susan would recommend Monroeville Post Acute.

I was very disappointed in my experience while my family member was there with nursing care. There were ongoing concerns with professionalism, communication, and the overall quality and consistency of care being provided by nursing. At times, it felt like patient needs were not being prioritized, which was frustrating and concerning for our family during an already difficult time. That being said, the Social Services department truly stood out. The Social Services Director is such an excellent leader there, she goes above and beyond in every way. She is the reason clarity was always brought to the forefront and things got done. Not only does she ensure patients and families are supported during their stay and advocates, but she also follows up with in-home services after discharge to make sure care continues smoothly. That level of commitment is rare and truly appreciated. I’ve also heard multiple families speak very highly of her on the unit there, and it’s clear that she is approachable, present, and always willing to listen and help. She makes herself available, communicates effectively, and genuinely cares about the well-being of both patients and their families. She handles conflict really well. In my book, she’s the one who should be running that place. Her leadership, compassion, and accountability are exactly what the entire facility should reflect. I truly hope leadership takes a closer look at the gaps in nursing care and overall communication and works toward creating a more supportive, professional, and patient-centered environment.

Our family member rang for someone so he could use the restroom and waited 1hr and 40min!!! Completely unacceptable! Most of the staff is very unprofessional, and the ones that are worth a damn are severely understaffed.

I came in for wound care and rehab. There are some amazing nurses and cnas. I was able to take care of myself walk and have full facility of mind. My husband is a truck driver I was riding with him. I ended up getting very sick. Getting surgery and ended up here for wound care and rehab . I was no where near anyone I really knew I was told after two weeks.I would have to call my insurence to extend my stay. I spoke with my insurence my insurence said they needed medical information. And that the facility needed to call. This went back and forth. I talked to some guy who said he would send the administrator to see me. Never happened. Needless to say . My insurance never got the information needed. I still have a very large open weeping wound and I ended spending a ridiculous amount of money on an airline ticket to get home on such short notice. It was complete and total ineptitude on their part. thank goodness I had a friend who could open up her home and help me with the rest of healing and wound care. Other wise I have no idea what would have happened.

I have serious concerns regarding the care my mother, received during her four-day respite stay at Monroeville Post Acute. During her stay, my mother suffered a fall that resulted in a head injury and skin tears on both of her arms. I was never contacted or informed that this incident occurred. Furthermore, she was not administered her required medications, and it appears she was not regularly monitored despite being admitted specifically because she cannot care for herself. She is now experiencing significant back pain as a result of these events.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend this facility. My loved one, who required full assistance, was not consistently monitored or cared for in a timely manner. Following a fall, there appeared to be a delay in recognizing the extent of her injuries, which ultimately required hospitalization. This was not just poor service—it was a complete failure to provide basic care and safety. I would strongly urge others to look elsewhere. The meals and cleanliness of the place were also very poor.

Very poor, I went to pick up.my brothers belongings at that center and as one of the staff members were packing his belongings, pulled out a plastic bag from his closet which contained an old dirty would bandage from the stump of his amputated foot and almost packed with his clothes then she realized and stated oh thats an old would bandage. Smh that should have discarded in the trash when they changed his bandages God know how many days ago. No this place is horrible

PLEASE LISTEN TO THESE REVIEWS. THIS FACILITY DOES NOT DESERVE ONE STAR. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO THIS FACILITY… I have issues with all of the staff at this facility. My mother has been a nurse for 41 years and she raised her concerns with the ER hospital and social worker before my grandmother was placed here. My mom did not want her to go to this facility. Before my grandmother was sent to this facility my mom called the facility and raised her concerns. It took several attempts to get the phone to answer because when you call it drops the call, and after being on hold it will drop the call. This happened repeatedly every time she called the facility. My grandma was not left with a phone in her room even after family BROUGHT HER A PHONE. My grandmother had injury to the right side of her face because she had already fallen out of bed at that point. After the first or second night of being there they put pads on the floor but that is obviously not good enough for someone who falls out of bed. My grandma has never fallen out of bed in her life. This is a narrow bed where they left some sort of comfort item on the bed and she fell out multiple more times. When my mom called voicing concerns they said they would take this piece off and try without it. She wanted her bed to be pushed up against the wall so she would not fall out again where they informed my mom that this is not allowed. My mother didn’t appreciate being spoken to as if she has not been a bedside nurse for 41 years. A few days later when my unle was visiting he noticed that the toilet in her room did not work. He informed the staff and nothing was done and my he had to fix it himself. The next week my grandpa got a phone call that my grandma had fallen out of bed AGAIN. My uncle and grandpa had been calling multiple times unable to get through. Yet again the phone remained an issue AT LARGE. My mom had to call for over an hour until I messaged through the facebook page and requested that we be called. On February 11, 2026 my received a voicemail from her dad where he was very upset and disturbed. He let her know that my grandma had to go to the bathroom, she put the call light on and nobody came. she continued to wait and wait and eventually had to have a bowel movement in her bed while she waited. Where she THEN had to wait to be CLEANED up. Time and time again they failed us in this facility while taking away my grandmothers dignity at the same time. An incident like this has never happened in all of my grandmothers life. My mom then spent 8 hours on the road to pick up her parents and bring them to Ohio with us for awhile. When she picked up my grandma she had BLACK EYES. Other things that we observed at this facility is the staff lingering at the desk and nobody greeting you when entering or walking around the facility. The staff isn’t friendly in the slightest. I highly recommend the staff have passion for geriatrics to be in this line of work. This facility is extremely unacceptable. You may find that out yourself if you read through these google reviews. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE.

I will start by saying the Nurse Practioner, PT/OT, and a few aides are amazing! That being said, their awesomeness is overshadowed by the lack of compassion and care by the nurses and some aides. I work in healthcare- I understand being understaffed. However, in those times- patient care is prioritized and I don’t see that happening. My family member is in there with a broken arm, a terminal illness and blindness. He is there specifically for rehab (which therapy has been amazing for him). That being said, every time there’s a new aide and they have to move him, he writhes in pain because his shoulder is broken and they often move him without regard to that. Often stating, “Oh they didn’t tell me”. There seems to be little to no communication. When I say no prioritization during low staffing, I mean this: patient left sitting in his own excrement for more than 45 minutes and when I contacted the administration I was met with a terrible attitude and then subsequently hung up on. We have walked in to his room and found a dirty towel with stool on it on the floor. The place is not kept clean. I could go on and on, but I don’t feel it’s necessary. It bears repeating that on their own- the NP, PT, OT and a few of the aides go above and beyond and their compassion shows and for that I am grateful. But the place as a whole needs to do so much better.

The PT staff is great, and I can count on one hand the number of staff members here I trust! You call on the buzzer and they come in, torn the light off and leave! I walked in to my brother wearing a hospital gown with his head through the armpit and a handful of poop because he hasn’t been changed and was picking at the diaper! They barely clean. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

Honestly they don’t even deserve one star. Every single time I call, the phone rings and rings but doesn’t get answered. And if it does get answered, they out me on hold to transfer me to 2nd floor nursing station. Nobody EVER ANSWERS the phone. My loved one is in there and he feels neglected, the food sucks, he doesn’t get his physical therapy. And that’s just a start. When I go visit in person, there is never anybody around at the desk for me to inquire information. Do NOT put your loved ones here. This place is a joke and Ive never had a good experience. Honestly. It’s been years. I’m not a complainer, but I’m so fed up I had to speak up. Honestly, the staff, the care, it’s all just sad.

I have noticed the extra care they give my brother since his fall as he is not only blind and cannot feed himself but is also learning to walk again. He has a pleasant room and glad its by the window so he may be able to see some light.

My husband and I have been very happy here. I have been here two and a half years and my husband one and a half years. We share a room and help each other. The administration is very helpful. Right now, the Administrator in Training, Cade is helping me with my computer. The administrator, John, keeps the ship running well. Mandy keeps us from getting sick. The business office manager, Theresa, is always on the ball. The rest of administration and management stuff is always helpful. They have an excellent physical therapy department. My nurse practitioner, Dawn, and the rest of the nurse practitioners are excellent at their job. They have good food in the dietary department. The social workers are very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The most beneficial part to me has been the activities department. Holly, Terry, Rayn, and Maria are an excellent team.

This facility is worse than a 1 star and should be a huge concern to the state and any family member who trusts the care of their family member to this facility. The Social worker has turned over and the staff is more concerned about their personal cell phones than the patient care. They have very little medical knowledge and the facility is not clean and smells of urine and feces.

Wonderful facility with caring aides and nurses. Our father was a resident there for two years and they took very good care of him. Sometimes I felt they were a bit slow attending to his needs but in general this place is very nice. I felt good about having him there.

Asked for someone to help with a family member who is on Hospice. Manager Marilyn, showed no compassion, no care about concerns brought to her. Also, has no sense of confidentiality. Wants the family to do the staffs job. Then goes to the manager and says to another male employee it “see what happens when you’re a manger you have to deal with all this crazy stuff!” While me and other family are standing at the desk.

I have been in the facility for a year and a half and have had a lot of good times. I enjoy the staff especially mother Theresa in the business office. They have alot of activities and the staff is very nice. We have got a new administrator who is very helpful if you have any concerns. I would rate this place a 5 star and recommend anyone In need of a skilled nursing facility.

Monroeville Acute Care has an amazing rehabilitation team. Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, and Speech therapy were awesome in helping my family member after he suffered a stroke. Not only were the daily exercises beneficial, but the positive reinforcement and encouragement were also. The complete staff of nurses, aides, the social worker, and housekeepers helped by answering questions we had daily. As discharge neared, the administrator, John, talked with us and answered questions we had about finances. All disciplines, including the receptionist with her daily greeting and smile, helped us in navigating this healthcare challenge.

If i could give zero stars I would. Place is dirty. Staff not available.. agency staff with their own agenda. Rooms dirty; TV gets poor reception. No dignity/care for patient. They want everyone in adult briefs so they not need to take them to the bathroom. As a healthcare worker I am embarrassed by the care at this place.

My experience in this facility has been wonderful, the nurses and aides are nice to me. Theresa in the business office is a very good person. She knows how to her job.
